Doug,

HSBS is still a dominant bank in HK but its dominance may diminish. That said, it's still a good investment.

Are you talking about CITIC headed by Larry Yung? If so, its actually getting less "red" now. It used to be directly under the Chinese government but Yung bought back much of the shares. It is said that he wants more independence.

Do you know why HK is down today?

Jean

Doug and other threaders, CEO's Grove, Intc and Morgan, amat, both have stated their opinions that Asia will not cut back on the purchasing of semi equipment nor semiconductors, etc. since it is essential that Asia markets must continue with their technology in order to leapfrog over the industrial revolution to the information/technology age. Examples are the Cellular phones, computers, and total inflastucture. What are you beliefs and feelings regarding any pullbacks in the technology explosion in the pacific rim? If they do pull back how is Asia going to stay competitive with the rest of the world exp. during the digital explosion and information age?

Thanks,

Paul V.
