Land Shark, koan described a system of government that is majority rule. One where individual rights are superseded by the needs of the "tribe". He called this system of government a "democracy". It is relevant to this discussion to get into specifics because our system of government specifically protects the individual from the majority. Our form of government that protects the individual from the majority as described by koan is a "constitutional republic". This distinction may not be important to you, but it is a fact and it is relevant to the discussion.
