No matter what age we are, it's a good time to see longtime friends...we just never know what will happen. TOTALLY agree with you on the shape of the US right now....I've NEVER seen it like this...most of us haven't. People are spending money if they have some to spend, but everyone is unsure of what will happen, and are being as careful as they can. Honestly, I don't know if the US as we know it can survive another 4 year term with the same "stuff" going on.... There was a piece of good news today....Rush had a contest of some sort, with examples of people helping people. Joplin MO won hands down. Remembering how much angst we all had on so many levels with Katrina, and the demands of that city for the Feds to "fix it"...I understand that still today, much of what was tattered and torn is still tattered and torn. Joplin on the other hand, is actively trying to help itself, and people from all over the country are coming to help, as they did in LA/Katrina. Rush is taking his new product, Two if by Tea by the truckloads down to Joplin.... Hubby wanted to go to Carmel in CA, but I really didn't. It just didn't seem as spiffy the last time we were there as it had been for all the years before when we went. Plus, I'm really angry with CA and all the idiotic laws they are passing....let them live in the mess their Representatives have made until they come to their senses.....I don't want to add my tourist dollars to help them ... So, a Road Trip seemed fitting....and should be fun. I'll bet your Doc thinks that bowling is good for you on several levels...great exercise, but also because you enjoy it, so it makes you feel better! Smart Doc...
