With the loss of my only sister, she is important in my life. I do respect her and love her as if she were related to me by blood. She is like a trusty life line that is always thrown out for me to grab if I feel the need and likewise I will always be here for her. I have not listened to Rush in a long while and had to Google the tea matter. I did go over to New Orleans about a year or so after Ike and the roads into town from the airport were all cleaned up and damage removed so it looked like nothing bad had happened there. I think that was done on purpose to try to show they were taking care of things and tourists should not worry. I almost did not go because I was worried the Casino may be tight as a drum and not paying out on their games because the whole ground floor was flooded by the storm and they quickly cleaned and repaired all the damage and were back open in a short time. My fears were unfounded as I saw quite a few people hitting jackpots. When I get the chance I will happily go back as they have a very nice Hotel right across the street from the gaming floor and have lots of security around for their patrons safety. I was in the casino alone most of the day and my husband would come in and find me when he finished his day. I enjoyed feeling safe with all the officers on the floor. We were in Carmel, CA once and ate lunch at Clint Eastwood's restaurant. There were many people in there for lunch. It was really cold there to me and very windy. We were staying in a Condo on the beach that year for a couple of days. Our host resided was in Palo Alto and insisted we stay at his place before traveling back to Texas, so we did. Really wasn't that impressed with the area unless you enjoyed swimming in the Pacific or beach sitting and I never could have done that because of the high winds there. Have a niece who lives in Oregon. House on the cliff and stairway down to the beach and ocean front. Never visited her but have seen pictures of her on their deck with her dog and the ocean view behind her. She has a lovely view. Oh yes, Dr. doesn't want me stop bowling for the summer even though I told him I had much to do here at home and might not get it all done if I bowl all summer. I do need the exercise and enjoy the friends I have made. I have to admit I don't get enough exercise at home and some days I don't go downstairs unless I just have to or leave to go to dinner. IF our MB and my home office were downstairs, I would never go up to the second floor. Have Strato Flex, I think that is the brand name, exercise equipment up in the attic and we never use it any longer. Old age caught up with both of us and I used to ride on the exercise bicycle a couple times a week but that seems too strenuous for me now and I don't enjoy doing it as it is tiring. I have never had a problem with weight and have always been a small stature skinny person. Too skinny right now so doing as much as I can to gain some weight back from what I have lost the last six months. All tests came back good so happily going into my tenth year of survival. I do not like the looks of the new SI. I, too, do not like having to find the place I stopped. I love the color blue, but find it is harder to read than black, but do realize the unread messages are darker blue than ones already read. Just don't like the changes made and hope they remedy the fixes quickly. I really am a creature of habit but sure that is because of my advancement in age. Can't think of any other reason to blame it on. <gg> Since I don't like to travel on holidays we will be staying close to home for the fourth. The fireworks have been banned because of our drouth conditions but weatherman says we might have 20% chance of rain for the next seven days. I hope his predictions are correct, we need it.
