So, after a few private messages between several of us, we elect to have the board moderator ban the individual. and I am sure that you consider yourselves to be completely unbiased. However, those people you are banning might think that you are trying to create an echo chamber atmosphere that creates an impression that a stock is all hunky dory (h/t lahcim). If you have the ability to completely filter out anything a member posts, along with anything that is posted to that member, tell me why that person needs to be banned? Your group can all agree to cyber-shun that person such that he disappears to you altogether. And at the same time the person has no right to complain about censorship. Are you that worried about what another person says that you need to censor him even if you are not seeing the messages or the responses?

Your board is a good one however SI is a public site where ALL are welcome and invited and so in my opinion moderators don't have the right to outright ban people who are not regular posters on a given thread unless they come and trash the place which is rare on SI. There are too many paranoid people here worried about nothing. As well there are too many people who take squatted on SI and appointed dictators who wall off the fort so to speak. Yes consider going elsewhere. There are way too many heavy handed moderators who have no sense of fairness and justice. Some treat their threads as their own little kingdom "living together since before SI existed" By now there should have been some weddings?

I disagree, people get banned on that thread if they post negative things on one of that boards favorite stock of the week. Also Coz bans conservatives if they don't toe the line. That board was promoting CTEI a global warming type stock. I was banned because I posted the IPCC GW 'hide the decline' scam. I asked if that would hurt CTEI and was banned and attacked. At the time CTEI was like .60 and in a few weeks down to 10 cents, I believe because of that report. I sold because of that report and was just trying to help the board. that board is not holier than thou
