the Manchu paper money was backed by silver until the sorry end. Believe ecb just okay-ed accepting any garbage bond as collateral, and 'temporarily' suspended need to rate some sovereign garbage. Qe3 is as good as full on if so. USA would be following up w/ qe4 come x-day or soon after. China should be tee-ing up qe5 by sept-oct. Then we sail through to 2012, leadership transition year in USA n china. Like the road map. Bullish.
