A friend of mine just retired after 30+ years in law enforcement. He was afraid to go to work because they had little training that he was comfortable with that was not lethal force.

No pepper spray training or ASP that he viewed as acceptable. He's was an armorer.

He believed that if he took a life, a lawyer, rightfully so, would sue both him and the dept for lack of training with less than deadly force.

Cops go for the gun 1st.

I got a traffic stop 2 weeks ago. Reg. sticker was not on the plate. The guy ask if I have a gun in the car after I tell him I"m doing a job in the area. I say yes and he about shits himself. He grabs his service weapon, still holstered, and screams, "why didn't you tell me yo had a gun when I asked for ID. I said, "you didn't ask about a gun"....he tries to yank the door open all the time his hand on his gun and I'm telling him to stand down......his response is that "this is for my protection"....

Far too many enter the job for penis extension purposes.

They make pepper spray today that will knock a bear on its ass.....
