If you get paid not to work you have zero incentive to look for a job."

Oh, BS. Can't get a job if there aren't any. For every job opening, there are 7 or more people unemployed. Cutting off unemployment won't change that.

You'd have to be a moron to believe otherwise...

A couple weeks ago, my son ran into a friend from high school at the store. My son asks, "What are you doing these days?" Answer: "Drawing unemployment. Hell, I'd be crazy to get a job; they're paying me more than I can make". True story. And absolutely shoots down your claim.

Come on. What job did this guy do that unemployment pays him more....dig up worms for the fishing industry? This has got to be a joke.

You've told that lie before, with less embellishments.

"True story. And absolutely shoots down your claim."

Even if true, anecdotes don't win discussions except for nitwits.

And you have to realize that your anecdote does not change the fact that there aren't enough jobs for the number of people unemployed. Didn't even address it.

But, don't believe me. It is easy enough to find out how many jobs have been created in a given period of time. And it is easy enough to find out how many unemployed there are.

And do the math. You can handle division, can't you?
