I think Westy lost his touch as a contrarian indicator,
but that does not mean we won't see 2000 gold, or
10000 gold -g-

I summarized the current printing situation here - banks
are sitting on quite some $$$ in their checking account
at the Fed they could not multiply so far, but their former
loans are obviously still in trouble, and new ones they can't
make.

I don't know what to make of this, except that
banks can probably do whatever they want now, they
definitely don't need more "reserves" that are automatically
created when the Fed buys something. In a nutshell
it seems the markets now are more managed than ever.
