The Rs could well end up losing the political argument as Gingrich did. But I'm much more concerned about the cuts getting done. Deep, meaningful, hard-driving cuts. Trillions of dollars in cuts, bring government into control.

At the end of the day that's what matters. And, of course, that Obama be a one-termer, which pretty much seems assured at this point.

Al, > You've lost this argument...the public knows the truth...even republicans know it...

Really? Krugman's calling Obama a "moderate conservative," Obama voted to extend all of Bush's tax cuts, and Tea Party Republicans are pretty much dictating the context of the entire debt ceiling debate.
