Social security is the biggest scam in the history of our nation. 9% of our payroll is squirrled away "for our benefit" -- to make sure that "we save for our golden years." What does the government do with that money? The only "investment" the Social Security Administration has made has been to buy government bonds! All that money supposedly sequested away in a supersafe vault "on our behalf" has been used to purchase essentially CCC rated debt. Now, on August 2nd, the treasury is threatening to not mail checks that should be issued irregardless of this entire fiasco. Unbelievable.
