What's the deal with all of these Democraps comparing the debt-ceiling issue to slavery, the Emancipation Proclamation [1], plantatation living conditions for slaves, Jim Crow laws, etc.? I've observed these radical comparisons for a month or so. The imbeciles are nuts to draw such parallels, which only serves to marginalize the actual experiences of slaves. Can even one hour go by without the Left whining about imaginary social injustices, thus inspiring their primary constituents to murder crowds of innocent people, or, is that their goal? 1. realclearpolitics.com
