We get a trillion now, and another 4 or 5 trillion six months from now? I'll take that. Absolutely - you can't just stop an out of control train instantly - you have to get control and slow it down before you can back it up.

I agree that monetarily it is crap.; but there is great value in having to revisit the issue shortly. Well I agree...it is crap and not huge cuts as you initially stated. I am extremely wary of this commission plan to slash additional spending. I simply don't trust Republican leadership (McConnell) to appoint 6 committed conservatives. I'd appoint DeMint, Rubio, Lee, Paul, Toomey and Johnson. You know dam well what we will get out of McConnell. So do the Democrats. If it goes to this commission...we are lost.
