I just think it is a huge bargaining chip. The Dems do NOT want this coming back up next year, and they're going to be ready to deal. Also, that there will be deal on the table that the Dems have to come out against seems to me to be something of value. Like you, I want trillions in cuts. The Dems are just now starting to negotiate.
