>>I currently hold two positions in CSMA, one in a brokerage account with certs called, and the other in a rollover IRA. With three phone calls to Fidelity I always get the answer that certs cannot be called for the IRA<<

Neal - maybe it's because an IRA is a custodial account by definition??. No certs for me either in my Fido IRA (rueful grin)--- resuming lurker mode now..... gooooooooooooo csma Woops, forgot the capslock .... GOOOOO OOOOOO C$MA

Neal - I don't know from nothing. I called the Fidelity guys and didn't ask any more questions after I got the answer I wanted. I believe calling for the certs would pull them from the IRA, but wonder why that transaction differs from taking a distribution, which would give us 60 days (or maybe until year end) to get it back in without penalty. I will check into this when I wake up.
