Much damage has been done by a bad presidency under Bush Yes, Bush had some faults, the biggest of which in policy terms is that he accepted, and even pushed for, too much federal spending. Obama shares that fault. But its not really a recent issue (although its accelerated and come to a head recently), the federal government has been recklessly expanding for generations.
