Trey...I must be missing something. Please explain to me why you think this announcement is only "a bone" and not a big FAT juicey COW!

What I read is that GTE selected WSTL for its ADSL deployment. END of story. Yes, they need to begin somewhere with the deployment. Are you thinking that GTE may use someone other than WSTL for their ADSL deployment even though they said they would use WSTL?

Sounds pretty good to me (below)!!!

"Westell Technologies Inc equipment has been selected by GTE Communications Corp for its commercial deployment of Asymmetrical Digital Subscriber Line systems, the companies said Monday.

The two companies signed a multi-year contract for the use of Westell's ADSL equipment and new technologies for the GTE commercial ADSL service roll out, Westell said.

GTE will market the ADSL service as ADSL OnSite(TM) and will initially focus on key markets where demand for ADSL is expected to be the highest, Westell said."

Trey: Should be another good day - I looked at the GTE Press Release which actually came out at 2:52 pm. I then cross referenced that time with the timing of the volume spike in yesterday's trading, and - Ta Da !, 90% of yesterdays volume came after 2:52 pm.

Hopefully we will have strong carryover as the big boys and then retail investors get in - BTW we don't pay retail :)

Regards,

Dave
