I forget what the percentage was, but Obama had some tiny percentage of his advisors/staff come from the private sector - the lowest percentage for any President in history. Not only did they not know how is anti-business would hurt the private sector, they had zero friends or family that would be affected by his all out war on private enterprise. Nobody was there to say, "Mr. President, this will kill the (fill in the blank) if you do this".

I think that folks like that Romer don't see the country's problems as being their own ... yes, they have a heck with the country attitude. That seems to be the case with a lot of people in this administration.
