THREAD: I know its early, but does anyone know whether this
acquisition will be acretive to earnings immediately or later? If so
how much later? Jan and Aprol calls (10's) look a little shakey if
this deal is going to take time to add to earnings. Also, will BORL
take a charge to cover acquisition costs? Also, how does "pooling
of interests" accounting affect all of this? Lots of questions. Looking
for answers. Anybody???
Cheers and luck to all,
Jack Gibson

<I am glad I've held my positions in BORL at 12! >

Jocelyn,

I am too, but short-term and options traders are getting "beat up" today. I guess if I needed the money right away it would be a problem, but I am very confident in Yocam's decision (I don't need to know his reasoning instantly, but I'm sure he will make it clear) and what's happening today is a reaction to the dilution that will take place to achieve it.

I hope Rod Macpherson's got an opinion soon in this folder. For all the flaming that goes on here, I've never seen it as being derisive like it is in some folders. I've learned a lot in the little "skirmishes" that take place here!

Regards,
Dave
