This morning's TV channels are rife with commentary of what an indictment of tea party politics this SP downgrade really is...even with its errors and overall inconsistencies...some of the best commentary was delivered by mayor bloomberg on morning joe...i will see if I can find the video a little later. Without the TP we would not even be CONSIDERING cuts in the rate of growth of spending. Thus, any commentary as you suggest is idiotic.

The same TV channels you worship had the Tea Party advocates on calling for spending cuts... since their election in 2010. Had those cuts, or even the Simpson Bowles plan that Obama enabled, the downgrade would not have occurred. And now the dems blame the only group that made the correct call instead of taking responsibility for their lack of economic leadership.
