"I actually bought QQQ at 51.84 yesterday and plan to hold it" ..............

What does such a comment achieve in terms of the benefit to others following your thread?

Personally, I hope he never stops giving those comments. I enjoy reading them, along with the comments by everybody else that offers comments and insights about their buys and sell.

I feel this thread is to share information of any and all types, and to learn as much as possible.

I would agree with you about the politics, and I am guilty of doing it.

BTW, allow me to welcome you and say that is a very gutsy first post.

Thanks, and welcome to the thread, I very much appreciate your input, I'll consider it seriously...

Honestly, I do have open chats with fellow posters about one or another market, and I did buy the QQQ for my stock account and posted it only after the market tanked and left me with a nice loss before it recovered into the close, so no bragging intended at all, just an aside comment to a fellow poster, nothing more...

Yes, I post my model's signals, but those are the raw signals, I do trade in and out as well as other markets... this thread is for casual chat on the markets, if you care to tell us what you bought or sold, I would welcome it, or if you have some ideas about the markets, this thread isn't "just for signals only," it's a barber shop where we can sit and chat, or a Starbucks if you don't go to a barber...

I am guilty of talking up my positions, so if I'm long, I'm also very bullish, if I'm short, I'm suddenly very bearish, who doesn't do that? I guess that makes me human, huh? LOL!!!

Thanks again for your valuable comments, and welcome...<g>

I think we have to take everything with a grain of salt and ultimately decide for our selves how to use information posted on threads when making investment decisions. It's impossible to consistently post our trades in real time. It would be extremely hard work and time consuming to even attempt to try. I don't think there's anything wrong with posting one's trades successful or not after the fact even the next day. It's all information that we can use. I personally don't mind people celebrating their successes on these threads.
It makes it fun amongst cyber friends and brings forth a human element. Also, if someone actually believes that GZ will hold a position for 2 years, they are nuts!<G>
