Thanks. I figured that was what I was looking at, but it never hurts to have a second opinion. (something never in shortage on THIS thread<G>)

Not sure what you mean by this.
Just make sure it's compatible with what you have already.

Are you talking about differences in EDO, SDRAM, etc.?

Maybe that's why these guys are selling it so cheap....useless chips that will lure you into the store, but only run on a few machines?

I'm mostly interested in running more browser windows. I can run 3-4 comfortably, but I would love to be able to run a couple more when things get crazy. Sure would save time and aggravation.

Will more memory allow me to open, say 6-7 browsers all at the same time without slowing down bigtime or crashing?
I'm assuming that memory constraints are the only thing preventing me from doing this?

Bottom line is that I'm only running 16meg at present. DEFINTELY will be adding 16 more, but I'm thinking that since it's just so damn cheap maybe I should load up.
I know memory is getting cheaper all the time, but 35 bucks for 16MG is the best I've seen. Hell, for under $150.........................

I also play games like Myst, Shivers, 7th Guest (occasionally a little Doom when I feel like some senseless acts of violence and kicking some ass<G>).
Will added memory make a diff. with that type of application, or is this all in the video card?
I can't really complain that much as it blows me away how cool these games look in the first place, but if I can get 'em to work even better with added memory I'll take it.
