Jay,
Wrong.
Cytc makes a thin prep smear vs. the conventional smear.....
Accumed can read either type of smear....if the thin prep smear if faulty, then it should not have an effect on Accumed....maybe even make it more valuable because the thin prep is easier to read than the conventional smear, and so if one goes back to the conventional Pap smear then one needs the Accumed system even more.
Cytc is a type of smear.
Accumed assists the cytologists to read smears.
Neopath, etc. read smears automatically using computer artificial intelligence.
Make sense?
George
