Does not matter how bad the roads are as long as the roads leading up to the driveways of the "houses on the hills" are paved. Those are the roads that are important to enable the rich to drive down from their homes and create jobs for us.

Roads are not maintained as they need to be because of poor spending decisions through the years. The hidden costs to motorists is tremendous...as well as they are more dangerous and cause delays and longer travel time. The failure of good governing gives us this result.

In Arkansas, we have and are building new roads to the boondocks, while existing roads are horrible.

A friend of mine commented, and that I agree with: "there's no ribbon cutting ceremonies for fixing potholes".
