I do see a problem here. Person number one has a checking account with a small balance. He buys a big screen TV with a bad check. He is now in trouble with the law. Person number two buys the same TV with his credit card. He doesn't payoff the credit card. He is not in trouble with the law. Person number three lives in London. He breaks into a store during a riot and steals a TV. All three have stolen TV's but the guy who uses a credit card gets away with it.
