Tulvio,
In the 1995 annual report JMAR said, "JMAR expects to utilize its existing capabilities in advanced lithography, electronic manufacturing process control and laser system motion control to expand both the ASIC production rates and the range of product offerings from its Cal ASIC division. JMAR also plans to use California ASIC as a test site for the Company's new semiconductor manufacturing equipment prior to market introduction." ---- At the time, I interpreted the last sentence to mean they were going to use Cal. ASIC as a test and launch site for their xray lithographic equipment. Guess I was wrong or they changed their minds. Millions of shares and dollars have been wasted on failed acquisitions. They've owned several laser companies, but now they need to buy another one. I don't understand how a company can justify buying a factory to manufacture a single product (LightKnife) when the product hasn't even been approved by the FDA.
