The German Question.
Germany can get cheaper financing than neighbors. Can it keep this standing for long time now that the after effects of 2008 prevention of falling into the abyss start showing?

great post .. ..Question: will Germany pick up the tab, causing the mother of all rallies per feel of European Union forever, and for how long before German electorates say, "enough", enabling the black hole of deflation as Europe simply forgot how to get on on own?

I am also watching:

Financials not very happy today MS and GS possibly falling back on this...

French President Nicolas Sarkozy has expressed plans to introduce a "Tobin tax" in Europe: This means taxes on financial transactions, which is something the banks will hate.

Obviously we need details, but this is not minor news if it's carried forth.

On the surface, we'd expect banks to scream bloody murder, but given that the whole point of this ongoing bailout exercise is to protect banks, it's hard to imagine this being too damaging ultimately.

as michael lewis made clear, the germans are a coprologically fixated bunch. thus, they will delight in wiping others' bottoms. factor in guilt for having caused so many problems in the 20th century as well as a talent for getting duped, and it is clear that they will go along with whatever the charming frenchk, italians and spaniards propose.

spelling the end of the eu.
