Yes the two-way infrastructure is being built, what I would like to know is what is the status of cable co's offering the dial up request method?

3Com plans to market the modems initially in areas where the cable operators are offering the service. The company declined to comment on which cable companies are likely to offer the service.

Why the decline to comment on which companies? Personally I don't like the idea of having to use a phone line in conjunction with the cable, I think it kinda defeats the purpose of the whole cable concept having to tie up a phone line. I'm not trying to be negative, I'm just skeptical of the market for this technology.
