Democrats need to hire some marketing pros like the GOP. We do get smug since it's obvious to anyone with enough sense to pour piss out of a boot that our positions are correct. We assume that the power of reason and logic should carry the day. We do this even though time and again we are slapped in the face with sheer stupidity carrying the day. And the difference is marketing. Americans are suckers for marketing pitches. The GOP are past masters of designing pitches to appeal to single issue voters, and they control those blocks like lock step prisoners. Democrats simply can't believe this stuff happens, even as we watch literally parades of outright fools elected to office and march us over a cliff.
