But the study failed to take key facts into account. For example, Oregon taxes the wages of people who work in the state even if they live elsewhere, so people who continued to work in Oregon could not avoid paying Oregon income tax on their wages by moving to Washington. Yup... The conservative echo chamber does not need facts. Opinions, bounced around thru enough bozo commentators become "facts". This is a well documented phenomenon. The "big lie" repeated often enough gains believability, with the only justification being repeated exposure to the whopper. This is particularly pernicious with the advent of the internet and the practice of bozos to originate, disseminate and encourage further dissemination of outright fiction vie email. Each sender reinforcing the lie by adding his "credibility" to the original nonsense. Was particularly interested in the above passage as I am in the process of moving to the very Oregon county cited, Multnomah. In my case, I am just getting the hell out of Dodge. Have lived in Tucson since I was an infant. Cannot take the extremist gibberish any longer. Arizona is a laughing stock to most educated people. It also is in an unsustainable position regarding future water availability. I am of the opinion that the millions of folks relying on the continued Colorado River flows are not accounting for the demonstrated "myth" of climate change and the northern migration of people who are certain to be affected as that water source becomes more and more questionable. This includes people on both sides of the US/Mexico political boundary.
