I guarantee you that if Obama proposed tax credits for adoption of CNG for 18-wheelers to be sunset in 4-5 years, the Republicans would support it. Probably the best single thing that could be done for our economy, with minimal cost -- in the best possible (even inconceivable) adoption scenario (50%) you'd be looking at maybe $30B/year, to get us off foreign oil inside of a few years time, keeping 100s of billions of cash now going to SA within the US. Send him a suggestion...it sounds like a good idea...even if one that would take years to evolve, so your 4-5 years would have to be much longer....but a different subject than the payroll tax cut, which I frankly don't approve of, but the republicans normally would....until now.
