But it is actually a false impression. The PR tax cut is nothing more than fiscal stimulus, which I think most intelligent people recognize now, after 2009, will NOT WORK. It is not any different from a one-time payment to workers, except it is so small in amount for most that it literally doesn't matter. Totally unhelpful, and meanwhile, further bankrupting two already broke programs. That same money could be used more productively for tax cuts for business which would actually generate some amount of economic growth.
