The PR tax cut is nothing more than fiscal stimulus, which I think most intelligent people recognize now, after 2009, will NOT WORK. It is not any different from a one-time payment to workers, except it is so small in amount for most that it literally doesn't matter. Totally unhelpful, and meanwhile, further bankrupting two already broke programs. I don't necessarily disagree with you, except to note that republicans (intelligent people I think you would say) have been lobbying for that forever... Hey, you are not actually dismissing the notion that politics plays a big role in these things, are you? Al
