James, this was not an IPO that opened at $24.50! It was a very good investment as it made new highs on its way to $24.50! We just need to learn when to sell and take our profits! As a rule, Wm J Oneill (Investors Business Daily) indicates that you'd do much better picking up shares of stocks that are reaching new highs, vs buying shares of stocks reaching new lows!

James, in order for the strategy that Jim outlined to work
It HAS to be during a bull market AND even more importantly,
You have to choose a company with good fundamentals.

RACE at it's highs had NO earnings, NO customers, lawsuits pending, Heavy debt load, questionable convertibles, terrible looking chart, a product that came to market obsolete, a product that no one needed or wanted, had just lost some important contracts.......Shall I continue?

This is not the picture you want to see when using Jim's strategy.
I beleive he is referring to the William O'Neil strategy, but that strategy has certain criteria (C.A.N.S.L.I.M.) that RACE did not meet.
