>>(MJ liked the woman in ~ Terminator,

Rent Terminator 2. A fave of mine. Linda Hamilton as the Babe who Wouldn't Quit. Great scenes: 1) Rose bouquet in mall. 2) The nuke scene. Only well-done nuke in all of moviedom.

Another good strong woman: the actress in The Long Kiss Goodnight. Perfect hausmommy morphs into Death Slut, then magically back into a neat synthesis of the two. Gives me wood.

Finally, on a lighter note: Tank Girl. That's three-fer-three by way of women who adapt-improvise-overcome in a man's world without ever compromising their femininity.

Hey, Gaugie!
You called me on my sexist statement, ok...-what about passive men----hmmm--
I THINNNNK---that my main objection to the Slingblade mommy was her allowing bad things to happen to her child. And to be so completely accepting of the situation. She had a job, she had good friends, she had a home, there was no reason for her to put up with this treatment. And you know---even had the loser NOT been abusive to her son, to allow him to see her be treated like that, to see her permit this man into her home and her bed..umm---ok---I'm getting riled here.
I'm trying now to think of passive men...someone think of a movie with a passive man who's not a caricature.
PAssivity doesn't bother me unless it's at a cost to others.
Of course, the Coven is such a passive group of women...
