I didn't "dismiss" anything. I just know that big dogs wag their tails, and what you are pointing to is possibly only the tip of one tail. Global bubble in financial assets was all about LEVERAGE and lack of regulation on the tens of TRILLIONS issued in Credit Default Swaps, and the fact that they actually legalized manufacturing Collateralized Mortgage Obligations that didn't have any actual mortgages in them at all - but were just referenced to indexes and then manufactured and sold in quantities vastly larger than all the mortgage markets put together to enable PURE SPECULATION with no end to it. Focusing only on one tiny piece of all that action is just missing the entire forest of wrong-doing because you only see a twig on the edge of the forest.
