Multiple deaths, millions with power out, major floods everywhere,

If you're comparing it to a tsunami, yea, I suppose it's fairly weak.
But that's the advantage of a hurricane in 2011 - everyone knows
it's coming, and where it's going, so preparation keeps a lot of
people out of danger. Let's wait till it's over to see the damage.

I wouldn't look for a conspiracy under every rock -- folks in power like to exercise it -- storms are unpredictable.
