what are you talking about ? I answered you with thoughtful response within a 1/2 day ...no one's on trial here or to not answer anyone's query within 2hrs is automatically deemed heretic & my response to you is indicating anything but weakness.

Yes, it is my intuition that the Universe is eternal and that does or does not conflict with scientific view which in this area no one knows anything really ...when it comes to "the Beginning" absolutely no one knows & if they tell you they know they are FOS period . Its all theories when you go back just so far ...like whats in the center of a black hole that we know inhabits the center of every Galaxy .

Even Einstein clung to a static Universe that all you saw was what you got ...up until one little discovery Greg . You see all that Einstein discovered with thought experiments about time & space ...relativity that was absolutely one of the greatest things out of the mind of man, all this Albert divined thinking this was all there was . That is, our galaxy the Milky Way was the entire Universe !

You seem to think you have a grasp of the evolution of these things but you don't , Einstein for all his genius like the rest of the world was completely & absolutely profoundly shaken to its foundations just in the last century when an atronomer named Edwin Hubble pointed his telescope towards a little patch of dark sky & discovered a point of light so dim. What did that turn out to be ?

Another Galaxy entirely , Andromeda ...hither to that even Einstein thought that the "Universe" was just the Milky Way , everyone did . Now in just the last 80yrs we know that there are billions of galaxies .... more than that but why go there ? lol

No , i do not buy for an instant that the writers of the Bible had even an atom's clue as to what they were talking about , nor Jesus about this . But this is an evolution thread & not theology thank you .

faith in action , faith in action ....much better than theorizing ?

Interesting turn , must admit...but the Hippocratic oath "First do no Harm" goes back farther than Christianity .

The Hippocratic Oath is an oath demanded of physicians who are entering practice and can be traced back to the Greek physician and teacher Hippocrates (ca. 460-ca. 377 b.c.e.). '

The oath reads as follows:

"I swear by Apollo the physician, by Aesculapius, Hygeia, and Panacea, and I take to witness all the gods, all the goddesses, to keep according to my ability and my judgment the following Oath: "To consider dear to me as my parents him who taught me this art; to live in common with him and if necessary to share my goods with him; to look upon his children as my own brothers, to teach them this art if they so desire without fee or written promise; to impart to my sons and the sons of the master who taught me and the disciples who have enrolled themselves and have agreed to rules of the profession, but to these alone, the precepts and the instruction. I will prescribe regiment for the good of my patients according to my ability and my judgment and never to harm anyone.

To please no one will I prescribe a deadly drug, nor give advice which may cause his death. Nor will I give a woman a pessary to procure abortion.
But I will preserve the purity of my life and my art. I will not cut for stone, even for patients in whom the disease is manifest; I will leave this operation to be performed by practitioners (specialists in this art). In every house where I come I will enter only for the good of my patients, keeping myself far from all intentional ill-doing and all seduction, and especially from the pleasures of love with women or with men, be they free or slaves.

All that may come to my knowledge in the exercise of my profession or outside of my profession or in daily commerce with men, which ought not to be spread abroad, I will keep secret and will never reveal. If I keep this oath faithfully, may I enjoy life and practice my art, respected by all men and in all times; but if I swerve from it or violate it, may the reverse be my lot."

*The oath varies slightly in wording among different sources.
