Without government regulation there would be an oil/gas derick in every back yard in PA., NY, and West Va. that straddled the Marcellus shale with no restrictions on what kind of chemicals could be pumped into the water table and how much fresh water could be taken from streams for use in the fracking process.

The air would be putrid from all the smoke stack emissions from coal fired power plants that have failed to install the necessary scrubbing equipment. If you don't like American regulation then why not move to an unregulated third world country and to find your dreams come true!
