" is off the mark.I wrote what I wrote because it seemed to me that you were ignoring the fact that for many low level employees with unskilled or semi-skilled jobs, the fear of getting fired or losing their job is enough to keep them working for whatever an employer is willing to pay and the "keep them happy and they'll stay and work hard" concept does not guarantee good employer actions. And I showed that your assumptions were incorrect. So since your assumptions were incorrect, what does that tell you about your conclusions? and...."keep them happy and they'll stay and work hard" concept does not guarantee good employer actions. guess what, nor does union representation. And union representation can end up causing them to lose their jobs altogether because they have priced themselves out of the market. In other words, the thing that they fear, losing their job, becomes a reality with unions. It may not be immediate, but we have seen where unrestrained unions have killed whole industries and whole cities. Tell me how that is good for the worker, for the population in general and the economy. so where there may be employers who don't treat their employees well, does that justify bringing in an organization that has proven negative results for everyone over the long term?
