Totally agree and unfortunately most who do travel are already the ones well educated and book smart. I got more of an education from traveling across my huge state and nation and dealing in business with all different types in my very diverse state than I ever did in the classroom all those years.. Seems way too many stay isolated due to their backgrounds, career and family constraints, lack of will or desire or money to explore beyond their comfort zone.. I am sure you have meet world travelers too from Europe, South America, Australia that seem to have a so much better grasp on things than most here in the states.. 42 states and counting for me..Boston one of my favorites.. Gotta love the local blue collar accents hidden from the tourist traps and academia you'll see more in movies like Gone Baby Gone and The Town
