Okay, comparing bananas with bananas, how many hours of work for an average Curitiban to buy a banana? How many hours of work for an average north eastern Brazilian?

When the 2020 reglaciation happens, Brazil should be much more pleasant to live in than China [for climate]. Northern China especially. <Brazil has 1/7 of China population living on an are almost as big as China. > Brazil will be uncrowded during 2020 reglaciation so perhaps 500 million people from China could migrate to Brazil.

The GDP of the state of Minas Gerais in Brazil has a larger GDP than all of Chile.I was just in the capital Belo Horizonte. It is amazing some of the inventive urbanization programs. They first moved the airport 45 minutes out of the city ,then they built a major highway to the airport, next they moved the city and state administration to a location on the highway and they will now take the downtown blds the administration was using and make this area around the governers mansion into a historic and cultural center.Brazilian civil servants must sit for an exam for any government position and the most qualified get the jobs.We in the US spend our time creating a utopian socialist system (utopian for the less qualified) in the name of equality for all. This starts in the school system and goes up through all levels of government.Other than the ultra rich, the bankers, and finance who are the priviledged and pay about 16% tax we already have a extreme progressive tax system with 60% paying no federal income tax, most paying less than 70% of their social security cost and less than 20% of their medicare cost.We have no VAT tax.I have worked in the government system until recently and will say the education and quality of their Brazilian counterparts is higher(Oh and the Brazilian minimum wage workers are not going to work as the solo occupant of an SUV as their US counterpart). In an era of computers, easy travel, high quality education being important, producing real things being important, quality of government being important; it is quite possible for US per capita wealth to plunge down below those of many nations who are currrently below us.This is the nightmare of a liberal elite who just grabbed onto the prize only to see it turn into dust and slipping through their fingers. The US lives many lies which can not be talked about openly lest the system turn to dust like the Soviet Union.Lies are easier to keep under wraps when the system is doing well.As I recently read "the US has no economic development policy only a wealth social redistribution policy"I will see you all at the bottom
