Alastair, If we are to believe Obama is data driven and not agenda driven - how does one explain his appointees to high office. I submit to you he may be data driven as an individual - but he is interest group driven in his policies. Obama took office with an opportunity for greatness. As Nixon went to China - Obama could have gone to entitlements. He has utterly sold out his opportunity via his blatant panders to his support groups. Now the fruits of his folly are coming home to roost - and suddenly we are to believe he wants the grand budget compromise? LOL - he forfeited any legitimacy on that with his February budget. Any Obama talk now of a grand compromise is simply to try to save his sorry butt for reelection.

Sorry - they guy is plastic - I submit we have no idea what is core is - and he may not know himself. He has spent his lifetime campaigning for office by voting present to avoid taking positions.

The nation desperately needs a leader - Obama is nothing like what we need.

Bob

I mostly agree with this writer's analysis and this is one of the things that makes Obama attractive to me--his empiricism.

Thanks for posting.
