Likewise Jacob. :)
Different views. Different prejudices. Different life's experiences. Big Dog has a good thing going here.

I recommended a couple of your posts yesterday on fixing the US and global problems. Echoed my sentiments exactly.

I read your posts and agree on the short term.
I have been expecting a second leg down for a while. I read John Mauldin's letters and one of his earlier books. Just expect this next leg down not to be near as dramatic as the first leg, more in the line of just another leg in current bear market not an extended period of low natural resource prices. That said my long term holdings will go down and then up. Mutual funds are a loosing game in this environment IMO. I am forced between bad choices in a 401k to be 70% cash. This is down from a recent 90% cash. It is not that I am more optimistic just a discipline of investing a portion when valuations are a bit more in line with my thinking.
I expect to be at 100% when and if we are down 20% from today.
As far as my individual stocks my accounts are at 100% invested in dividend payers and plan on reinvesting the dividends.
Certainly could be wrong but I play the accounts as if they were one big one.
Jim

Amen! I thought it was a very dignified and illuminating discussion. I learned from all participants.

I agreed so wholeheartedly with your recession signatures that I bailed out on my few small energy positions. I am heavily short the DOW, S&P, Russell 2000 and BAC. I am watching today's correction to the big dip in order to increase my shorts of the little 5th wave down. Then I will go to cash until the next big correction is over. A falling tide takes all boats down.

Blessings,

JRH
