Interesting inasmuch all the polling data I've read seems to indicate a slide toward the center right side of the spectrum (Wharf Rat has some interesting graphs on this--maybe I can find them and post them)

Is it just your opinion as to the direction of the political wind or have you read/studied something that showed that?

I see what you are saying about the center being one ting for the media and the actual center of people's opinions another.
