If i'm protecting the world from Henry, who are you protecting henry from? The likes of me.

BTW, how in God's name did you come up with the idea that I'm trying to protecting the helpless souls that lurk on this thread from henry. My point is about Henry. Pure and simple. Not about what others might think. I, for the umpteenth time, don't base my decisions on what henry writes.
If other's do, than it's their loss. But, I'm having a hard time persuading others that they have to have some accountability for what they write. And, it is you Sir-and other on this thread, that I believe are the rats following to the Henry's every tune. The problem is that there is a unified problem of tone deafness. If Henry misses a note or plays one out of tune, you guys completely miss it.

I'm also noticing that many of you have very thin skin when it comes to making a valid but critical point about Henry. Is the man too good to be questioned? You take my remarks as if they were a personal attack on him.

<<I have faith that individuals can separate rumor from fact>>

If so, then why the problem if I or anyone decides to write about it?

Damded if you do, damned If you don't!

With regards to tonyt, I'm with you. The way some people treat him on this thread, I would think there would be an amendment to the ADA stopping people from abusing anyone with the name of tony.

And tonyt, I'm not implying that your disabled. Just for the record

> I have faith that individuals can separate rumor from fact.

How? If I read a statement that an interviews will be in BW soon, and another one giving information on the science, how am I supposed to know which is rumor and which is fact. Remember, the statement was that BW interviewed Ligand employees and that an article would be out soon -- There is nothing in that statement that would cause someone to believe that its 'rumor'. As a matter of fact, there were quite a few comments after the first week stating that they were getting impaitent waiting for the article -- these people believed it as 'fact'.

When specific magazines and 'reliable sources' are noted the line of 'rumor' is crossed.

Stan, As you know, just about all predictions in the future would fall into the "rumor" category, at least when posted by me. I upload the facts and of course that comes after publication. Future popular press articles fall into the "rumor" category, because contrary to what others have posted, I do not have "insider" sources for such info. The rumor that I heard, was that Ligand was giving several interviews (and the source was from someone I considered reliable, but not an "insider" or employee of Ligand). Such interviews were not unexpected. LGND had just negotiated a major diabetes deal with LLY and they were in the middle of an extensive road show. At the time of the post (end of Oct), I assumed that the ALRT deal would be finished on Nov 3 which would pave the way for the finalization of the LLY deal. I also assumed (based on timing) that the articles would focus on diabetes or LGND's underlying technology. Although I talk to LGND IR fairly regularly (about once a month), I really don't have "inside" sources and have repeatedly stated that my comments and predictions are based on public info (with a few E-Mails sprinkled in and as most readers know, the E-Mails are not as accurate as info from LGND's press releases or IR).
