One thought on the treasury short. If Japan is the example, then it could be a very, very long time before we see Treasury rates rise much. The thought is that Japan experienced the equivalent of the aging baby boomers more than a decade ago. Might the boomer effect be similar to that in Japan but more global in nature?

I don't know the answer. And I wouldn't give the thought more than a 50:50 chance of becoming reality.
