BOTW, let's do a thought exercise.

Suppose that the global warming evidence looked really convincing back in the 90s, and that collectively, climatology, barring a few skeptics, staked its reputation on it being true, then ran around screaming 'the sky is falling' and collected billions of dollars in grants and the cooperation of every environmentalist group on the planet.

Now suppose that 15 years on, all that additional research has let to a surprising, and much less conclusive result, than they originally thought they would see.

But they collected the billions of dollars. They coopted every media outlet on the planet, Greenpeace and a hundred others are counting on them to pass global emissions treaties.

Given your knowledge of human nature, what do you expect them to do now?

What is reading the climategate emails going to reveal to me other than "mistakes were made".

if you are not willing to educate yourself, I am not going to waste my time any further. Just please don't say you are very skeptical by nature in the same post where you are avoiding an obvious source of information.
