A big part of the problem is that the press (excluding radical malcontents like Mother Jones or Rolling Stone) has been almost universally silent about the point RP was making. Mainly that the moral and political justification for continuing the Imperial Wars is completely absent. So yes, the lumpenproles and dittoheads who blindly follow one flavor or the other of the corporatist screed are ignorant. The propaganda machines have done their work well......
