BC, why is syncrude not a pollutant? Is it so heavy it won't go anyplace if it spills?

Blessings,

JRH

bearcatbob, the epa's environmental impact report was out last week sometime. i posted it on bdbbr at the time, and it said the planned route of the keystone xl was better than any of the five or seven other routes the epa experts studied. they mentioned some of the other pipelines that already run over the ogalalla in nebraska, and they noted the keystone xl would be much higher technical standards and safer than what is already in the ground over the aquifer.
